A Pannon Egyetem, mint a fenntarthatóság egyeteme Magyarországon először indított környezetmérnök képzést 1974-ben. Azóta is törekszik arra, hogy minden hallgatója megismerje a fenntarthatóság fogalomkörét, annak gyakorlati alkalmazásait és ezt beépítse a későbbi munkájába.

A pontozás a következő a fenntarthatóságnak dedikált kurzusok arányában:

1 – Kevesebb mint 1%

2 – 1-5%

3 – 5-10%

4 – 10-20%

5 – Több mint 20%

The University of Pannonia, recognized as the University of Sustainability, was the first university in Hungary to launch an Environmental Engineering degree program in 1974. Since then, it has been committed to ensuring that all students understand the principles of sustainability, learn how to apply them in practice, and integrate them into their future careers.

The scoring system is based on the percentage of courses dedicated to sustainability:

1 – Less than 1%
2 – 1–5%
3 – 5–10%
4 – 10–20%
5 – More than 20%

A Pannon Egyetem kutatásainak döntő többsége a fenntarthatóságot tűzte ki céljául vagy erősen kapcsolódik a fenntarthatóság támogatásához.

A pontozás következő képen alakul a fenntarthatósági kutatások finanszírozásának aránya alapján:

A Pannon Egyetem elsősorban ipari kutatásokkal foglalkozik, amelyek a gyakorlatban azonnal hasznosítható eredményeket hoznak a minket megbízó vállalatoknak. Ezek a kutatási eredménye jellemzően ipari titoknak számítanak. Ennek ellenére törekszünk arra, hogy minél több publikációt tudjunk megjeleníteni az eredményeinkről.

The University of Pannonia is primarily engaged in industrial research that delivers practical, immediately applicable results for its industry partners. Because of this, many research outcomes are confidential. Even so, the university is committed to publishing as many research results as possible in scientific journals.

The scoring system is based on the average number of sustainability-related scientific publications per researcher:

1 – Less than 0.5 publications per researcher
2 – 0.5–1 publication per researcher
3 – 1–2 publications per researcher
4 – 2–3 publications per researcher
5 – More than 3 publications per researcher

A Pannon Egyetemen külön szervezeti egység – a Fenntarthatósági Kompetencia Központ – foglalkozik a dedikáltan a fenntarthatósági rendezvények szervezésével. Ide tartozik a pár hallgató számára tartott speciális kollégiumi foglalkozás, a helyi iskolák számára rendezett fenntarthatósági napok, a Balatonon megrendezett napelemes hajó Európa bajnokságának kísérőrendezvénye vagy éppen a több mint 20 000 látogatót vonzó fenntarthatósági játékok bemutatója.

A rendezvények száma alapján a következő pontozás alkalmazandó:

The University of Pannonia has a dedicated organizational unit—the Sustainability Competence Center—that is responsible for organizing sustainability-related events. These include special residential college programs for students, sustainability days for local schools, side events for the European Solar Boat Championship held on Lake Balaton, and sustainability game exhibitions that attract more than 20,000 visitors.

Several student organizations and honors colleges operate at the University of Pannonia. The events they organize are increasingly focused on environmental protection and sustainability. The university supports these events in every case by providing professional guidance and, in many cases, financial support as well.

A Pannon Egyetem központja Veszprémben, az Európa Kulturális Fővárosa címet elnyert településen működik. A város az ország kulturális központjaként egész évben biztosít rendezvényeket minden érdeklődési kör számára. Veszprémmel szoros együttműködésben az egyetem is rendszeresen tart kutúrális programokat, amelyen fellépnek az egyetem zenészei, zenekarai, énekkarai, tánccsoportjai, vers- és mesemondói, színjátszó köre. Minden évben megrendezésre kerülő ki-mit-tud-on pedig bárki a szinpadra léphet. Kiemelt eseményünk a Veszprémi Egyetemi Napok, amin egy hétig változatos programokkal várjuk az nemzetközi résztvevőket.

The University of Pannonia is located in Veszprém, a city that has been awarded the title of European Capital of Culture. As one of Hungary's leading cultural centers, Veszprém offers a wide variety of cultural events throughout the year. In close cooperation with the city, the university also regularly organizes cultural programs featuring student musicians, bands, choirs, dance groups, storytellers, poets, and theater groups. Every year, the university also hosts a talent show where anyone can perform on stage. One of our largest events is the Veszprém University Days, a week-long festival with a diverse program that welcomes both Hungarian and international participants.

Hallgatóink a Pannon Egyetemen széles körű ismereteket szereznek a fenntarthatóság témaköréből. Ezeket az ismereteket még a nem dedikáltan erre fókuszáló munkakörök esetén is be tudják építeni a munkájukba.

A pontozás alapja a fenntarthatóság területén elhelyezkedett végzettjeink aránya az összes végzetthez képest:

Students at the University of Pannonia gain broad knowledge of sustainability throughout their studies. They can apply this knowledge in their careers, even when they do not work in positions directly focused on sustainability.
