Traditional universities use large amounts of paper for teaching, research, and administrative activities. At modern universities such as the University of Pannonia, we reduce paper use through a wide range of initiatives. These range from simple practices, such as double-sided printing and paperless meetings, to more advanced solutions, such as digital notebooks and replacing disposable paper cups with reusable cups.

The scoring system is as follows:

A Pannon Egyetemen zajló komposztálási és biohulladék válogatási kísérleteket a gyakorlatban is alkalmazzuk. Célunk, hogy a campus területén keletkező szerves hulladék minél nagyobb része helyben maradjon és visszakerüljön a természetbe.

The University of Pannonia applies the results of its composting and organic waste separation projects in everyday campus operations. Our goal is to keep as much organic waste as possible on campus and return it to nature through composting and other sustainable practices.

A Pannon Egyetemen saját félüzemi hulladékválogató berendezést üzemeltet. A kutatás-fejlesztési célok mellett e berendezés alkalmas a campuson keletkezett szervetlen hulladék szelektálására és így az újrahasznosításának elősegítésére.

The University of Pannonia operates its own pilot-scale waste sorting facility. In addition to supporting research and development, this facility is used to sort inorganic waste generated on campus and increase the amount of waste that is recycled.

A Pannon Egyetem félüzemi szennyvíztisztító berendezéssel rendelkezik. A közcsatornába jutó kommunális szennyvíz pedig az ország egyik legjobban üzemelő szennyvíztisztítójába kerül, ahol az egyetemi kutatási eredményeket is felhasználva tisztítják meg a város többi szennyvizével együtt.

The University of Pannonia operates a pilot-scale wastewater treatment facility. Municipal wastewater from the campus is also treated at one of the country's most advanced wastewater treatment plants, where university research results are used to improve the treatment process together with the city's wastewater.

3 – Oxidation treatment only
4 – Oxidation and denitrification treatment
5 – Treatment including phosphorus removal
